The Teltonika RUT956 is a 4G LTE Cat.4 router with I/O ports, RS232 and RS485. This makes it very suitable for M2M. Moreover, it has wireless and fixed Ethernet connections and can both transmit and receive WiFi (WiFi as WAN). The RUT956 is the successor to the bestseller Teltonika RUT955. The RUT956 is equipped with all the best features of the RUT955, such as VPN (IPSec, PPTP, OpenVPN), Wifi as WAN, DynDNS, etc. In addition, the RUT956 has a faster CPU, Mediatek MIPS 24Kc 580 MHz. The router comes with a 2-pin terminal block power connector. This allows you to connect the 4G LTE router directly to a battery or other power supply.

Thanks to the WAN port, this 4G LTE router can be connected to the fixed internet line and serve as a 'normal' router. If there are problems with the landline, the RUT956 can automatically switch to 4G LTE and then continue to work (Failover function). An ideal internet backup in emergency situations.

Dual SIM failover

The Teltonika RUT956 is equipped with a Dual SIM. This makes it possible to switch between two providers if the network leaves much to be desired. Because the RUT956 fits 2 SIM cards, you can switch providers if the network leaves much to be desired.

5 external antennas

The Teltonika RUT956 is equipped with 5 external antenna connections. This 4G router comes with 2x LTE rotating antennas and 2x a rotating WiFi antenna with magnetic mountings and 1x a GNSS antenna. If the incoming 4G or WiFi signal is limited at your location, you can improve the signal by connecting an external antenna.
