The TL-SG116E 10/100/1000 Mbps unmanaged Pro Switch with 16 connections from TP-Link provides an easy way to transition to gigabit Ethernet for small office and home office networks. The TL-SG116E features easy Plug & Play management, and its interior components are protected by a robust metal casing, ensuring a long-lasting life. The compact size is also suitable for use on a desktop or workbenches. Moreover, the TL-SG116E is also equipped with smart management features such as QoS, VLAN and IGMP snooping.
The new generation of TL-SG116E 10/100/1000 Mbps desktop switch is equipped with the latest energy-saving technologies, which increase network capacity and significantly reduce power consumption. Power consumption is automatically adjusted according to connection status and cable length to reduce the network’s carbon footprint.
No power for unused ports
When a computer or network device is off, the associated connection of a traditional switch continues to consume significant amounts of power. The TL-SG116E can monitor the connection status of each connection and reduce the power consumption of connections that are not active, consuming up to 72% less power.
Supply budget by cable length
Ideally, a shorter cable should consume less power and give less power loss. However, this is not the case with most devices as they consume the same amount of power through the cable. The TL-SG116E analyzes the length of the connected Ethernet cable and adjusts the power consumption accordingly.
Network monitoring allows users to easily observe data traffic. Through port mirroring, loopback detection and cable diagnostics, connection problems in the network can be detected and even located. Furthermore, it can prioritize data traffic using port priority and 802.1p priority to ensure that VoIP and video streaming are always smooth and without delay. Combining security with network performance, the TL-SG116E supports MTU-VLAN, port-based VLAN and 802.1Q-based VLAN functions.
Plug & Play installation
The TL-SG116E is distinguished by easy installation and maintenance. Auto-MDI/MDIX eliminates the need for crossover cables. Auto-tuning at each port recognizes the connection speed of a network device and intelligently adjusts to ensure compatibility and optimal performance.
