The TP-Link TL-SG1005P is an unmanaged switch with 5 ports, 4 of which support Power over Ethernet (PoE). It can automatically detect and supply power to all IEEE 802.3af/at compatible Powered Devices (PDs). In this situation, the electric power is transmitted along with the data through a single cable, so the network can be extended to places where there are no power lines or power outlets. The PoE budget per port is 15.4W and the total PoE budget of this switch is 56W. TP-Link’s TL-SG1005P is ideal for home and small offices and is powered externally via a power adapter.
Intelligent energy management
The switch has a priority function that helps protect the system when the system power is down or overloaded. If the power consumption of all PoE PDs exceeds the PoE power budget, a priority is arranged between the PoE ports and the system turns off the power of the port with the lowest priority.
Plug & Play installation
This switch has a plug and play installation. When the TP-Link TL-SG1005P is connected to the mains, the device is immediately ready to use. The LED indicators per port are also useful, allowing you to see at a glance whether a port is active and what the speed is per port.
