MBX 5G is a quad cellular mobile powerhouse with redundant SIM slots and multi-radio capabilities providing speed, reliability, and coverage by combining the best of 5G and LTE. The Peplink MAX HD2 MBX 5G 5G is a very comprehensive mobile router with 3 Gigabit WAN ports and 4 built-in 5G modems (8 SIM slots in total). In addition, this router has 8 PoE + ports to power IP phones, cameras and access points, for example. For wireless connections, 802.11ac WiFi is available with speeds up to 1166 Mbps. Optionally, the MAX HD4 MBX can be expanded with the Peplink SIM injector or the special HD2 expansion module with 2 extra 5G modems and 8 SMA antenna connectors.
Suitable for use in vehicles
Its compact form allows it to be deployed in a wide variety of situations such as vehicles, vessels, and branch networks. Various functions of the Peplink MX HD2 MBX 5G are specially designed for mobile applications in vehicles. For example, the Ignition Sensing function lets the router switch on automatically as soon as the engine has started. When the vehicle is parked, you can set the time after which the Peplink MAX HD2 MBX 5G will automatically switch off. This prevents the battery of the vehicle from being drained and it is no longer possible to drive.
SpeedFusion
Like most Peplink routers, the Peplink MAX HD2 MBX 5G features a unique VPN technology called SpeedFusion. This patented VPN technology from Peplink is specially designed for multi-WAN environments. Unlike standard routers, a Speedfusion router is able to stack the bandwidth of all WAN connections. This results in a network with extra high speed, reliability and high security. The VPN connection is stable and the data is secured with 256-bit military-grade AES encryption.
