Description

Tektelic Smart Room PIR Sensor

Smart Room Sensor integrates a lot of useful functionality into a very small form factor. Smart Room Sensor is ideal for holistically monitoring the home and office environment, whether it is measuring and reporting temperature, humidity, light, movement, motion, shock, or detecting leaks, open/closed doors and windows or other custom features. It also supports battery status for easy maintenance.

The sensor is optimized for long battery life and excellent RF performance. It is fully configurable over-the-air by the user for custom applications, behaviors, thresholds, trigger events and reports, enabling it to support many different Smart Home IoT applications with the same device. Smart Room Sensor can be cost-effectively and quickly modified for other applications and deployments or custom-packaged if required.

More about LoraWAN

The LoRaWAN network architecture is implemented in a star-of-stars topology in which gateways forward messages between end devices and a central network server. The gateways are connected to the network server via standard IP connections and act as a transparent bridge, simply converting RF packets into IP packets and vice versa.

The wireless communication uses the Long Range characteristics of the physical LoRaÒ layer, enabling a single hop connection between the terminal device and one or more gateways. All devices are capable of bidirectional communication and there is support for multicast addressing groups to efficiently utilize spectrum during tasks such as Firmware Over-The-Air (FOTA) upgrades or other mass distribution messaging.
